Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can! It's always a moving thing to see history made. If I was not too involved today (and too new to have any vaca.) I would have loaded Lisa and Mia in the car and we would have driven up to Chicago at midnight last night just to be a part of it.
Alot of people are trying to figure out how Barack Obama won so big last night.
Here's what I saw...
How Barack Obama won.
He was a man for the time, he was the right man at the right time with the right message.
Yes, we can.
We've had several such men in the past, you all know their names.
He came from almost nowhere just when the country needed most one of the things it had nearly lost, one of the things money can't buy.
Hope
Yes, we can.
They tried to run him down with hate, they tried turn us all against him. But his message of hope and a future that can be bright for all the people of this country shone through it all.
Yes, we can.
He did not ask us to back him, he did not say he could take care of us, he did not want the job for his ego or to "rule". He simply asked for our help to fix this mess.
Yes, WE can
"I do not want to be President of blue America, or Red America, I want to be President of the UNITED States of America."
Yes, we can.
That is what it takes to lead a "movement" of the people, and that will always prevail over a "campaign".
i found it very interesting AND inspiring that even tho i live in the 6th whitest neighborhood in america... obama won! maybe only by 165 votes...but he WON!!! i always said i was put here to lighten this neighborhood up! just by living here... maybe, just maybe, my liberal, lesbian, witch, energy is spreading!
